Today, a production company of any size can hardly be found without CNC support. With computerized numerical control machines, simple procedures can be automated with little effort. We have been implementing engravings produced in this way in our workshop since 2018.
However, monitoring the milling or engraving process is essential, at least in our workshop, in order to guarantee high quality work. This requires a certain amount of experience, as there are a few things to consider: for example, the milling depth depends on the diameter of the cylindrical milling cutter, which means that fine patterns that require a fine milling cutter cannot be milled too deeply.
In the end, you can still give free rein to your imagination and, thanks to our CNC machine, add a personal and individual touch to a piece of jewelry.
Training to become an engraver is rare today. It is an independent apprenticeship that takes four years, just like goldsmithing or gem-setting. This is why engraving by hand has a different effect to CNC engraving and is particularly suitable for large engravings that show off the work done.
Coat of arms or relief engravings on a piece of jewelry, such as a ring or pendant, which are traditionally "engraved" by hand, are distinguished between coats of arms and seals. Coat of arms engraving refers only to the depiction of a coat of arms or a family symbol and could also be executed as a less concise CNC engraving. It is a "positive engraving".
Seal engraving, on the other hand, focuses on engraving a seal that is used to seal, i.e. authenticate or secure documents and objects. This is known as "negative engraving". In both cases, these are engraving techniques in which the material is removed to create a design.
Our range of services goes beyond designing and creating pieces of jewelry. We are also happy to carry out resizing, minor repairs and setting work on gemstones - if possible within two weeks.

It is important to mention that we need to see the jewelry in order to be able to advise our customers competently. Such realizations are therefore always associated with a consultation and are part of our daily work, which we dedicate ourselves to with great enthusiasm and effort. Accordingly, it is not possible to give precise details such as lump sums, but they are always discussed or offered according to the situation.
