Bijouterie Stadelmann has existed since 1972 - the foundation stone for which was laid much earlier by Hans Stadelmann. The company itself has also existed since 1922. Below you will find a brief history. Of course, many stories with, about and through creations have emerged over the 50 years and continue to do so.
The Stadelmann family business has been making fine jewelry for three generations, and the fourth generation is also part of the company. Hans Stadelmann, who ran a jewelry shop and goldsmith's studio on Theaterplatz in Bern for over 30 years, laid the foundations for today's jewelry store. His son Jürg Stadelmann bought the traditional Hofer AG jewelry and goldsmith's shop at Marktgasse 29 in 1972. In 2022, the company will celebrate its 50th anniversary (the former Hofer AG, and thus the public limited company that still exists today, will celebrate its 100th anniversary).
Bijouterie Stadelmann has made a name for itself above all with innovative and individual jewelry creations. In 2005, Jürg Stadelmann handed over the business to his daughter Nicole Stadelmann. Like her grandfather and father, Nicole Stadelmann has a great passion for gemstones, which is why she trained as a gemologist in the USA at a young age. She has now been running the Stadelmann jewelry store for over fifteen years, the third generation to do so.
Today, Nicole Stadelmann's two sons, Micha Stadelmann and Andrin Krieg (-Stadelmann), also work in the family business. Micha Stadelmann is a goldsmith and works in the workshop. Andrin Krieg studied Digital Business Management and, like his mother, works in the Stadelmann store and office in 1972.
Over the years, many different pieces have been created that still characterize the jewelry business today. From one-of-a-kind jewelry to trophies such as the Champions League Henkelpott or the FEI Jumping Cup to themed jewelry inspired by equestrian sports.
